Overview

On his second EP, Australian K-pop auteur DPR Ian extends the moody romanticism and introspection of his 2022 full-length Moodswings in to Order. Conceptually, this set is meant as a prequel to that album as Ian returns to his "Insanity" character introduced on Moodswings, dissecting his battles with his mental and emotional health stemming from bipolar disorder, something he has discussed openly. Cuts like the dance-oriented "Don't Go Insane" and the '60s-influenced "Peanut Butter & Tears" are atmospheric anthems that find him transforming his inner anxieties into enveloping, soulful pop. ~ Matt Collar
