Shirly Ambrose is an impassioned lifelong visual artist and later life musician with two 75 minute albums of original songs in the last four years, which she gained immediate airplay and many awards including dozens of #1 awards from the International Singer/Songwriters Association. Naturally, she paints her album and book covers and does all her graphic art.
She has written most of her life, initially poetry. Most of her writing has predominantly been for her therapeutic purpose. Only after attending the concert of a favorite 1970s band, did she begin drafting the early stage of her memoirs, a creative project that has spanned well over half her life. She idealized perfecting it for another decade but alas has had to complete the project without further delay.
She lives on a lake in southern Yukon, less than fifty air miles from where she was raised. It is a goldfield for any artist or writer. This is where she and her husband have celebrated their life sailing and being near nature, where they have found their needed solitude for decades.
