About the Author

Owner and founder of HausWitch, ERICA FELDMANN has been using intuition to heal spaces from a very young age. A Chicago native, Feldmann moved to Salem, MA, in 2010 to study witches and the sacred feminine in the Gender and Cultural Studies graduate program at Simmons College. The knowledge she gained there, combined with her innate talents for interiors, came together to form HausWitch, a company devoted to helping people heal their spaces and love their homes. Feldmann has been featured in Nylon, Vogue, Teen Vogue, Design Sponge, Bust, Refinery 29, Broadly, Apartment Therapy, and more, and she now lives in downtown Salem in a magical haus with her partner and two cats.

Blending interior design with tools for spiritual health, the book explores ways that the physical environment can influence and access the magical realm. Feldmann asserts that her teachings “harness the positive energy in the home” using “six fundamental elements: manifestation, clearing, protection, comfort, harmony, and balance.” Instruction, on creating essence potions, using charged magical objects, and manifesting spells (such as by burning inscribed paper on pyrite) are highlights. Dividing the book into six sections, Feldmann combines personal anecdotes with opinions from renowned witches and spiritualists to present crystals, meditation, astrology, tarot, visualization, and herbalism, among others, as tools of witchcraft that can transform a home.
