She has served on numerous boards, including the Houston Healthcare Hospital Authority, advocating for advancements in women’s health. She has also been a formidable presence in community development as a leader on the Community Reinvestment Act Steering Committee and Warner Robins Housing Authority Citizen Advisory Board.

Her commitment to empowering young people is evident through her founding of The READ Foundation and the Reaching As We Climb Mentoring Program, and as the chartering president of the Sigma Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; Johnson-Granville has driven significant initiatives impacting children and families across her community. Her efforts have been recognized widely, earning accolades like being named one of 20 Future Leaders in Middle Georgia, workshop presenter for Federally Employed Women, childhood obesity initiative recognition from The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and receiving nominations for prestigious awards like the Roy Wilkins NAACP Award.
