About the Author

Ronald K. Evans, authored the now released eBook, "The 'Armchair' Gambler", a concise guide offering an insightful approach to winning even money wagers on casino games, baccarat, craps and roulette, a topic the former casino dealer (croupier) enjoyed delving into both through exhaustive research, computer tests and expression of his findings as a writer.

Evans had studied published works on this very topic by Thorp, Wilson, Snyder, Uston and others while having acquired the knowledge of advantage play, as a card counter, on the highly popular table game of blackjack. For over a two years hiatus, Evans even played the game successfully full time making long weekend sojourns to nearby Lake Tahoe casinos from his home in San Francisco. Having known about fluctuations the game would on occasion wield, Evans had also experienced the extremes deviations and their effect would have as a player, his bankroll as well as his psyche, and yet managing to cling to a 1-2 percent advantage to make ends meet.

That experience and latter employment as a casino dealer moved him towards studying alternative systematic strategies to consistently win at games offering even money wagers by exploiting their standard deviations. Evans challenged conventional wisdom and expert opinion that achieving long term profits is mathematically impossible on casino games levying upon a negative expectation, an inescapable loss for the player, and yet Evans demonstrates in his revealing book, "The 'Armchair' Gambler", the earth is not flat as once were assumed for centuries by the ancients.

Ronald K. Evans and his lovely wife Maria enjoy their lives together in the peaceful town of Pleasanton, California.
