When Darkness Comes...His Mercy is More
What if my worst nightmare comes true?
What if it all goes up in flames?
Will He really be there in the fire?

When the hardest circumstances come upon us and wreak havoc deep within our lives, we are forced to navigate a road we never wanted to travel. In this powerful collection of stories, Catherine Dahl Luckow guides readers through the experience of losing her mother when she was just a teenager, and gives voice to many others who have endured tragic loss as well.

The losses include addiction, cancer, murder, suicide, accidents, and illness. The storytellers are honest and vulnerable about their initial reactions and feelings, their thought processes and how they have moved forward without their beloved family member or friend.

Loss is something that will touch every life. We cannot fully prepare ahead of time, and it will always hurt more than we think we can bear. All of us dread and fear outcomes in our lives that cause pain and sorrow, but God shows up and sustains our weathered souls with His comfort and goodness. We don't have to beg Him to come. Instead, He meets us right in the middle of our suffering. He will not leave us alone to figure out the darkest, most despairing moments of our lives.

His Mercy Is More is a collection of true stories from real people about loss, grief and the hope for tomorrow. May these triumphant and personal journeys serve as a gateway to light the path for the sorrows that dare to come into our lives, and may we be reminded that no matter what, God is faithful. He will complete the work He began in our lives, and there will always be more delight to come our way.
