Jesus in Action at His Feasts: How John's Entire Gospel Builds On Jewish Festal Scriptures
Jesus in Action at His Feasts is a comparative Bible Study of the Gospel of John and a platform of Hebrew Bible passages self-identified through a refrain in John's narrative. This refrain includes the word 'feast' and marks six turning points that subdivide the Apostle John's masterpiece into seven sections. Each section contains an 'attesting sign' and other significant acts by Jesus—all connected to the Bible platform.

The Bible platform consists of well-known annual readings for each Feast mentioned in John's Gospel. These festal readings studied alongside the episodes of John's gospel reveal dozens of interconnections that allow our book to 'write itself' as a series of interesting Bible studies subtitled:

About the Author

Frank Morgan was born in Vermont in 1937 and raised on his family's farm. After high school, he served in the U.S. Military from 1956-58. He married his wife Nancy in 1958, and they have two children, five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Frank earned his undergraduate degree in math and science education in 1962 from Castleton College, now Vermont State University at Castleton. He completed his master's in mathematics at Miami University of Ohio and his doctorate in mathematics education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He taught mathematics at Castleton College for thirty-two years, where he was a long-time Faculty Adviser for both the Castleton Christian Fellowship and the Mathematics Club. He pursued a particular interest in the history of mathematics and ideas, developing and teaching a course called 'Mathematics and Worldviews.' His interest in Hebrew and Greek origins of ideas led him to travel with Nancy on educational tours to Israel and Greece. His interest in Biblical thought has increased through decades of teaching and leading Bible studies since 1964.

Since retirement, Frank and Nancy have enjoyed several years of volunteer work abroad, including four semesters of teaching 'Academic Writing and Speaking' to doctoral students at Peking University in Beijing through Educational Resources and Referrals China under Martha Chan of Berkley, California. For leisure these days, they take an occasional road trip, enjoying our country's history and scenic beauty. They enjoy watching thirteen great-grandchildren grow and participate in school activities and sports, bringing many smiles. They have continued a lifelong fellowship and service in various churches, including leading inductive Bible Studies in their home, a favorite way to get acquainted with interesting people and develop deep friendships. Their studies in The Gospel of John over the past five years led directly to the present book, Jesus in Action at His Feasts.
