About the Author

Dr. Edner Pierrevil began his academic journey at Palm Beach State College, later attending Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach Atlantic University. Driven by a passion for psychology, he continued his studies at Grand Canyon University and earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from National University.
With over 18 years of experience in education and counseling, Dr. Pierrevil is a certified School Guidance Counselor (PreK–12) and a certified Social Science teacher (6-12). His professional background includes supporting diverse student populations, particularly English Language Learners (ELLs), students with learning disabilities, and those facing emotional or mental health challenges.
As both a practitioner and a researcher, Dr. Pierrevil brings a unique perspective to the complex challenges ELLs face in U.S. classrooms. His scholarly work emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and highlights the importance of creating supportive learning environments that foster academic achievement. He is the author of the study The Acculturation Experiences of English Language Learners (ELLs) within the Classroom Learning Environment in the United States, published in the American Journal of Education and Practice.
Dedicated to advancing educational equity, Dr. Pierrevil continues to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success at every level.
