Amaury is a romantic novel that deals with the subject of the jealousy in a Paris of years 1839-1840. Amaury the main character is completely in love with Madeleine and they want to get married. However, the disease installs between them and separates them drastically. This novel, previous to The Three Musketeers was forgotten more than a century and today deserves a place among the masterpieces of the sentimental novel.
