Most people think of Bill O’Reilly as an acerbic, ultra-conservative talk show host. With this foray into publishing, O’Reilly demonstrates that he’s also an excellent fiction writer. Television executives and correspondents are being murdered all over the country, and Detective Tommy O’Malley realizes that the murders are linked. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into the cut-throat world of TV journalism. O’Reilly narrates with an entertaining, fast-paced style. He especially seems to relish the murders of the executives and consultants who treat the careers of others with cavalier detachment. Even when O’Reilly’s pace is a bit fast, the story remains entertaining and will please even those who would never thinking of watching his show. D.J.S. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine
