Laurell K. Hamilton (born February 19, 1963) is an American fantasy and romance writer. She is best known as the author of both the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series of urban fantasy novels, short stories, and comic books—including Guilty Pleasures and Dead Ice—and the Merry Gentry series which follows the title character, a faerie princess turned private investigator.
