The author and illustrator of eighteen children’s books, Maira Kalman is also a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and The New York Times. Her picture books include Ooh-la-la-Max in Love, What Pete Ate, and 13 Words, a collaboration with Lemony Snicket. Her columns for The New York Times have been collected in book form, and she writes an illustrated column for The New Yorker.
