Michael McGarrity is an American author, social worker, and law enforcement officer. He is best known for the acclaimed bestselling crime novels featuring Kevin Kerney, an ex-psychotherapist and former deputy sheriff. McGarrity introduced readers to Kerney with his 1996 novel Tularosa. His books have been nominated for both the Anthony and Spur Awards. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
