Nicola Griffith (1960) is a British-American author and teacher who has won the Nebula, World Fantasy and Lambda Literary Awards. She began her writing career with the book Ammonite, which won the James Tiptree, Jr. and Lambda awards. Her second novel Slow River won the Nebula and Lambda Awards for Best Novel. Her latest book Hild was published in 2013.
