A popular fantasy author in Australia, Sara Douglass (1957-2011) began her career as a nurse and then a professor before finally deciding to become a full-time writer. She is well-known for The Wayfarer Redemption series, which is set in a variety of fictitious worlds and contains two trilogies: the Axis trilogy and the Wayfarer Redemption trilogy.
