T. Jefferson Parker is the bestselling author of numerous novels, including Laguna Heat (his first novel, which was turned into an HBO movie) and The Fallen. His writing career began in 1978, with a job as a cub reporter on a weekly newspaper, covering police, city hall and cultural stories. He is the creator of both the Charlie Hood and Merci Rayborn series of books.
