WATER STREET is an exciting novel that explores the bonds that hold a small group of college students together as friends and the tragedy that tears them apart.
When a young college student is found dead at the edge of the campus the social and political machines within the university and the small local town race to quickly find a way to distance and insulate themselves from the unpleasant fall out of the college student’s violent death. Peer pressure is applied within the social framework of the group, the advancement of the interest of one is presented as the equal advancement of all conspirators. What develops from the student’s death is further tragedy in the betrayal between young idealist friends for the sake of their own self-preservation buried beneath truth and lies.
