Latiya Robinson is a native of Cantonment, Florida. She is a graduate of the University of West Florida and has a BA degree in Psychology. At the tender age of four years old she went through her own personal life changing experience with open-heart surgery. During this period, Latiya and her family experienced a very profound and critical time of her young life. However, through faith and the bond of family and friends they were able to perservere through this test of courage.

Writing a children’s book about experiencing and preparing for juvenile surgery has always been an aspiration of hers. Latiya recognized the need for tools and resources for
children and parents, who must endure such a major
procedure. Through this small contribution she hopes to quell any fear of the
unknowns of surgery by providing reassurance and guidance to families in need.

Latiya currently resides in Pensacola, Florida where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in counseling. She is an advocate of youth development, is actively involved in church as a choir member, enjoys traveling the globe, and spending time with family. Latiya aspires to continue her writing career with a series of preparation books that focus on other juvenile surgeries and medical procedures.
