About the Author

The Author
Laughing Womyn was a kid once too and she’s always had a big imagination. Her imagination grew her into a Shaman who loves to tell stories for special kids, no matter how many years they’ve been on Earth. For now she lives in a log cabin in a deep valley in the middle of a forest. Her log cabin is surrounded by beautiful flowers and every day she’s visited by all sorts of folks like hummingbirds, cardinals, hawks, deer, people, cats, chipmunks, butterflies, coyotes, owls, fairies, elves, and probably a pixie or two. She’s never actually seen the pixies but she’s pretty sure they’re there.

The Illustrator
Kara lives in a log cabin southeast of Laughing Womyn on the other side of Owl Creek and Pole Cat Ridge. She loves to teach folks how to make music on guitars, banjos, mandolins and mountain dulcimers. Kara's parents and many of her 'lots of greats' were musicians and artists. She knew when she was very young that she would grow up to be a musician and artist too. Kara shares her log cabin with five mischievous cats and one lazy hound dog.
