About the Author

Barbara Dumas Ballew lives in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. She is an accomplished genealogist and story-teller and has researched her family and her husband's family for over twenty-five years. She developed her research into four books covering the period 1750-1885. Noting a shortage of interesting chapter books for younger readers, she pulled from her childhood memory to write three interesting chapter books. Sadie, the Goat Lady is one. The other two are Little Man:--a Little Girl's Dream and Stranger, the Miracle Dog. If you like Sadie, the Goat Lady, email her at and tell her how much you enjoyed it.
