Shoving his arms into the sleeves of his soggy shirt as he walked, he held the straps of her heeled sandals in his teeth like a playful hound dog. A very alpha one.

A tall, rangy, barefooted one, with dreamy but daring eyes. As much as her logical mind warned her away, the rest of her longed to do him. Especially since that kiss. Even in the chilly rain and mud, his mouth was the hottest experience of her life to date.

Still not believing she'd left her Choos behind, she reached over to snag them from his teeth, while fighting an urge to touch his hard naked chest, just once.

When the porch light flicked on.

Both of them froze like animals caught in the headlights--with no doubt as to which one of them was the wolf.

"Angie, what happened?" Her Aunt Fiona's slender figure shadowed the open doorway. "And who's that with you, Cole Granger?" Her tone sounded sweet as could be when her insides must be twisted with shock over Angie's speedy downfall.

The beginning of her fresh start, and she rewarded her kind-hearted aunt by showing up on her doorstep with the baddest cowboy in the county.

Angie deserved to be banned in Texas. With a resigned nod, she admitted, "That's who it is, Aunt Fiona." She grabbed her shoes from the teeth of the appealing man, whose mouth pumped up her pulse so fast--but was so off limits.

"You two get caught in the downpour?"

She got caught all right. With her hand inches from his naked chest and her reputation dragged through the mud if any talkative neighbors or passersby spied their disreputable conditions.
