She started to smile and tell him she was ok, but then his gaze moved to her mouth. Oh no, what's he thinking? He's not going to, is he? Her heart accelerated, but she couldn't seem to make herself say anything.
Maybe the sudden impact of their fall had scrambled his brains. His gaze lifted to hers. Had his eyes always been that deep of a green? He leaned slowly towards her and she found herself meeting him halfway. His hand skimmed up her back and she tipped her head as their lips hovered Their lips hovered a mere hairsbreadth apart for the most incredibly long moment of her life.
When Louie's mouth met hers, her eyelids fluttered closed. She slid her hand up to wrap around his neck and kissed him back. His lips were warm and sweet and he tasted of coffee. He kissed her as if he was worshipping her lips, paying homage to them with his own. His fingers trailed over her cheek and he cupped her face in his palm. Their tongues touched, and a knot formed in her throat at the dreamy intimacy of the kiss. He tangled his hand into her hair and pulled her closer to deepen the kiss. A sigh of pleasure escaped her, and a really weird feeling washed over her. It was almost as if she'd kissed him before, like this. But that was impossible. She'd never kissed Louie, but it felt natural ... not at all new or awkward.
Shifting so her breasts pressed into his chest, she raised both arms and linked them around his neck. Under her bottom she could feel his erection pressing into her and she moaned. Louie slowed the kiss, pulling back slightly and dropping the softest whispers of kisses on her lips, the side of her mouth, her cheek, and her chin. She arched her neck, loving the waytingles raced up her spine as his mouth fell to her throat. She didn't think she'd ever been kissed quite so perfectly. A burning need to roll to the floor and have him cover her roared up inside her. Somehow, she knew Louie was full of passion inside, but was holding it in check. What would it be like to help him unleash the tiger within?
His mouth caressed her ear and down her neck. Then he did what he never should have done.
He spoke.
