About the Author

Timothy J. Wengert is Ministerium of Pennsylvania Professor of Reformation History at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Wengert is a representative for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on the Commission on Faith and Order of the National Council of Churches. With Robert Kolb he is the editor of The Book of Concord (Fortress, 2000). His widely used translation of Luther’s Small Catechism from that project is included in Evangelical Lutheran Worship.
