Larry Carey began his collection of over 6000 salt and pepper shaker sets in the 1950s; Sylvia Tompkins has assembled 7000 since the 1970s. Both have served as President of the Novelty Salt and Pepper Shakers Club, and are active on the salt and pepper shaker market.
