About the Author

Roy Merchant was born in Jamaica. He left there in 1961 to join his parents in England. He enlisted in the Royal Navy in 1965 and became a submariner, spending most of his submarine years in Singapore, Hong Kong and other parts of the Far East. Having left the Navy in 1970, he retrained as an Electronics Engineer, then Technical Manager in a large television rental company in the 1970s. In the mid-'80s, he moved into local government as a senior manager in a London local authority. Retiring in 2014, Roy took a new path and started a Health and Wellbeing company catering mainly for the African Caribbean community while dedicating more time to writing and performance poetry across London. This book is his second, the first is entitled Walking In The Shadows Of Death.
