About the Author

Chris Hatton was born and raised on eastern Long Island, NY. In 1989, at the age of nineteen, he was converted through the witness of his english professor (Dr.Tom Bennett) while attending Daytona State College. Chris married his high school sweat heart (Denise) that year and was soon after faced with the tragic death of his adopted brother and best friend. It was the suicide of his nineteen year old brother Jimmy that gave Chris a deep burden to share the good news of hope In Christ. This passion was soon recognized by his local church and Chris was licensed in 1992 and ordained in 1994 to preach the Gospel. He was on the streets seeking to serve and share until his elders sent him to formal study. Chris earned a B.R.E., M.Div, and D.Min, from Davis Bible College, Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and South Atlantic Theological Seminary. While studying Chris led the university evangelistic teams to state prison ministry, children homes, nursing homes, street evangelism, and state college campus ministry. Chris came to understand the ministerial priority of the local church as he was groomed in historical confessional christianity by some older 1689 Pastors. He served in several Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA). He is currently on the pastoral staff at Grace Chapel in Sanford Florida (www.gracereformedchapel.org). Chris is the founder and Pastoral Chair of the Reformation Society of Florida (www.AllianceNet.org) and the Spurgeon Fellowship of Florida (www.spurgeonfellowshipfl.com). Chris and His wife homeschool their children in central Florida and can be contacted at faith92@juno.com.
