Purpose: The purpose is to help prepare veterinary nurses for nursing exams. This book is also a valuable, self-assessing tool. I believe this book meets the author's objectives. I also believe the objectives are worthy.
Audience: Veterinary nursing students are the audience. The author seems credible and is very authoritative in presenting the information in this book.
Features: This book is very straight forward and concise. The 300 questions and answers are provided for self-examination/assessment. The questions are intended to help locate areas of weakness, which may indicate the necessity for further study in a particular area.
Assessment: This book is a good review for veterinary nurses wanting to pursue certification. It is an excellent source for veterinary technicians to use for a self-assessment/evaluation at any given time during their career. The text would be helpful in evaluating the technical skills and general veterinary knowledge of newly hired veterinary nurses.
