Roland van Vliet (1960-2016) was a Dutch philosopher and a Manichaean scholar. He founded the Manisola Institute for Personal Mastery and Social Art in the Netherlands. Roland van Vliet lectured extensively on many varied spiritual themes drawing on his broad knowledge of philosophy and of the world's religions, especially Buddhism, Christianity and Manichaeism.
The 4 lectures in this book were originally published in Dutch in the "Manisolareeks" series. The lectures were reconstructed from notes and audios taken up during the lectures, some of which were held on-site, for example, "The Externsteine" in the mystery centre in the Teutoburger Forest in Germany and "Nature Beings" in a nature reserve on a Dutch island in the North Sea.
Based on the indications of Rudolf Steiner and inspired, among others, by the Manichaean principles of compassion and unconditional love for all living beings, including the earth itself, these lectures offer a contemplative insight into the themes presented.
