Maria Berg is a portrait and figurative artist living in Hanau, Germany, the original home of the Brothers Grimm. For as long as she can remember, Maria has lived on stories and fairy tales, and they have informed her understanding of herself and her life's journey. Her goal as an artist is to reflect and reveal the beauty of life through images that touch the heart and inspire the viewer to seek beyond that which is seen. For this purpose she dedicates herself not only to the act of painting itself, but equally to studying nature and the great works of art offered by history. Maria is a graduate the National University of Arts in Bucharest, Romania, and has accomplished more than 150 portraits, many of which now reside in private collections throughout the world.
