Danny, a young boy who yearns for a very long list of toys, encounters the Gobble, a whimsical elf who has the ability to make any wish come true. The Gobble offers to give Danny everything on his Christmas list, but to get them he must trade his family for it. At first, Danny jumps at the idea, but as he becomes tired of playing with so many toys he begins to have second thoughts.
