Overview

A US newspaper reporter who has had a tragic couple of years tries to escape Christmas by fleeing to the sun. But her editor forces her to take one last story before the festive holidays by reporting on a small town orphanage that is being closed down by the government. However the young children living there have set up a choir to try and raise funds to save the building. Melody was brought up in a small town and has lots of memories flooding back of her childhood while there. She tries to report on the situation and get out but a bad storm keeps her there longer and the more time she spends with the children and more in particular the choir master and head of the home. John, she realises she's been missing out on more than she thought by hiding herself away following the death of her fiancé. Can she move forward? Can Melody and John come together to use each of their skills to save the orphanage before it's too late? Will her ever growing feelings for John turn in to more than she bargained for? Will Melody get a Christmas present she never imagined would happen again?
