She felt a pang of sadness in her heart thinking that he had finally left her, that he had found a better place to live. She went out to the porch and sat in her rocking chair, feeling lonely and empty. A few days later, she heard her doorbell ring. She gasped when she opened her door. There stood an older gentleman in a black suit wearing a black hat staring back at her.
