About the Author

Noted for her “fast-paced, rich in detail” writing, Ginger Hanson writes historical and contemporary romance novels as well as short stories and essays. A Dash of Ginger marks her foray into self-publication with a compilation of humorous essays she wrote for her local newspaper.

An award-winning author, she is a former college history instructor who found writing historical romance a natural outlet for her love of history. The release of her fourth book marked her entry into the contemporary romance field. With another novel and holiday short story set in the fictional small town of Tassanoxie, Alabama, she established the series and looks forward to publishing more stories set in Tassanoxie.

A workshop presenter at national, regional, local and online writers' conferences, Ms. Hanson has also given programs for local clubs, schools, and libraries. She resides in lower Alabama with her husband and various rescued pets. When not writing, Ms. Hanson volunteers with the Friends of the Library, often staggering home beneath a pile of books she has “adopted.” To remain sane and healthy, she is a student of Tai Chi.
