Overview

Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy are finding their first Christmastide at Pemberley to be something of a trial.

Lady Catherine deBourgh and her daughter Anne arrived quite unexpectedly; another guest has suffered accident and been consigned to her rooms to recuperate; Jane and Bingley are house hunting; at least six of their family and friends are in various stages of love, with all its attendant miseries. And just when they think there can be no further intrigues, one of the party ends up on the drawing room carpet in a dead faint.

Given all that to contend with, what is a couple to do? Why... host a ball, of course!

This conclusion to A Fitzwilliam Legacy (Volume I): Seasonal Disorder, resolves its unfinished business even as the Darcy family moves into the New Year, 1799... while introducing yet a few more surprises right through a Twelfth Night celebration to the end.

About the Author

Tess Quinn is the nom de plume of a lifelong fan of Jane Austen (at least since her introduction to that author at age 13.) She indulges in borrowing some of Miss Austen's best loved characters (and occasionally lesser loved ones) and providing new experiences, new narratives and on occasion new original 'friends' for them. The joy -- and challenge -- in writing these stories lies in retaining the recognizable characters Jane Austen gave the world, while further exploring the traits and quirks that so enthrall her readers two hundred years later.

Tess is presently at work on her third novel-length piece. When not writing for fun, she gets equal pleasure from traveling wherever funds wil take her; attending Regency events in costume (never lost that little-girl delight for 'dressing up'); photography (but she's running out of wall space); or relaxing in a comfy chair with a good book, her cat Smudge in her lap, and a nice cup of Yorkshire Gold tea. She is a U.S. native currently living in New York, yet her heart often can be found in other places and times, most notably Regency England.
