J L Haessly is an educator from Riverside County, California where she lives on a small farm with her husband Brian. Together they care for a group of horses, goats, pigs, and family dogs. In addition they do animal rescue work by taking in abandoned and neglected dogs and finding them loving homes. Growing up she experienced paranormal encounters of her own, and has woven some of them into her writings.
