Overview

The book's style with stand alone chapters of a WW II veteran's interview followed by the author's fact-based war related comments, make it a fascinating composite of easy reads. The book in its entirety is an enjoyable historical account of WW II. Mr Kidder nicely juxtaposes the enormity of WW II with the potential for the individual to make a significant difference. The book captures the American spirit; and how good conquers evil; and how much was sacrificed for our freedom. Truly one of my favorite reads that has a permanent place in our home's family library.
