Overview

I began my mental health journey during my 7th grade year, around the age of 13. I first noticed signs of mild depression which turned into severe depression, anxiety, PTSD, and PMDD as I got older. Every excerpt that I've added to this book was written during the deepest, darkest times of my journey. In those moments, I had no one around me that I trusted enough to express these feelings out loud to, so I wrote them down. These excerpts consisted of my daily struggles, my childhood trauma, and my thoughts in the form of poems, short passages, and diary entries. Around my 10th grade year (2021-2022) I decided to compose the excerpts into a chapter book that would be published following the completion of my healing journey. I hope that by reading my story, anyone who struggles with similar mental health issues will be inspired to keep fighting, no matter how hard the battle may seem.
