Overview

Lyla Mercer's life changed the moment her dad was murdered, and again when she heard that she could be next. Forced to move to Salem for safe keeping, Lyla soon discovers her family has a dark history in the small town, and when a glossy black moon appears on the back of her neck she becomes the newest part of that legacy. About the Author

Leslie Deaton is originally from Dayton Ohio where she grew up in a haunted, old farm house. As an avid writer and English major she spent her free time reading great books and writing nonsense in her journal. Combining her love for writing and reading, she dreamed up Lyla Mercer and created A Marked Past. She lives outside Washington DC, with her husband, three dogs and her books. This is her first novel.
