Anyone who loves postcards, Colorado and railroads, will enjoy this book.
It includes a short history of the postcard with a glossary. A history of the
railroads' love affair with the postcard and how it encouraged tourism in
Colorado is explored. There are over 100 examples of vintage postcards,
black & white and color. Twelve railroads have their own chapter with a brief
history and postcards from the author's collection. Step back in time to an
age when the postcard was a major means of communication and train

About the Author

Willard, Ohio, where the author was born, was a major railroad hub in its
heyday. Mark's grandfather worked for the B&O and so started a lifelong
love of trains. The author traveled extensively during his childhood and
was in the Navy for six years. This travel inspired a variety of interests. One
of those was a love of books and he has been a used bookdealer for over 25
years. Three of his interests, Colorado, trains and postcards, are showcased
in this book. In 1981, Mark settled down in Colorado with his wife and son
where he lives today.
