The Athlete Watch is a web-based platform for student-athletes to market their skills to colleges and universities around the nation. We are not a college recruiting service. As a matter of fact, that is one of the reasons I launched The Athlete Watch because I have been there and know how daunting the recruiting process can be. I led the state of Texas in receptions my senior year of high school, and did not get a scholarship until two days before signing day. Talk about down to the wire!
The problem with traditional college recruiting is the student-athlete has to wait for the university to contact them. That is a big problem, especially when the student-athlete is not getting recruited. With our approach, we flip the roles. According to the NCAA handbook, there are no rules limiting the student-athlete to initiate contact with the college coach. Each student-athlete at The Athlete Watch will have a functional and visually appealing “Student-Athlete Profile” containing their up-to-date academic, athletic, and personal information, sport-action pictures and the option for video content. All of our resources are linked directly to the NCAA to ensure that our student-athletes and parents are getting accurate information for their respective sport.
We have partnered (and will continue to partner) with trusted training facilities around the U.S. and Europe and have access to high definition cameras, Dartfish software and other pro-style amenities to ensure our student-athletes are getting first class film to send off to college coaches.
