Overview

This book is a unique, practical, spiritual, pure vegetarian cookbook with beautiful colour pictures presented with contents, sub-contents and a glossary making it easy to follow. All the dishes are prepared as an offering with prayers to God, Lord Krishna, in His Deity form Sri Sri Radha-Gokulananda at midday (Raja Bhoga). The food becomes sanctified and is called maha prasadam (great mercy) and then distributed.

You may say “not another vegetarian cookbook”. However this is no ordinary vegetarian cookbook. These recipes have been kept secret for almost 40 years and some have originated from our Grand Spiritual Master His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Srila Prabhupada the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness).

The recipes shown here have been tried and tested by the author who has cooked in the Deity kitchen of Bhaktivedanta Manor in England, for over 15 years.

Also included is a special contribution from Mother Kulangana on the secrets to making her world renowned Sri Sri Radha-Gokulananda’s magical milk sweets.

This cookbook is a must for anyone interested in vegetarian cooking at its highest level.

In 1996 Dhama Sevana started cooking for Sri Sri Radha-Gokulananda beginning with the simplest of the offerings. In 2004 Dhama Sevana was appointed manager and head cook of the Diety kitchen by Gadadhara Prabhu (head pujari ). The following year he progressed to cook raja bhoga the most demanding of all the offerings.

Dhama Sevana has Diplomas in Food and Safety Levels 1 and 2 and in April 2012 passed and received the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance HABC Level 3 in Supervising Food and Safety in Catering.
