Anna Green was an early 20th century novelist. She was one of the first authors to write detective stories in America. Her stories are known for their well thought out plots and their legal accuracy. Although Green wrote in a genre previously dominated by men she didn't think much of feminists and opposed women's suffrage. Her second novel A Strange Disappearance was published in 1880.
