Overview

Nicole Turner lives in a dysfunctional family. A verbally abusive mother and an angry father, who drinks too much and stays away too often, cause pain in her life. A loving sister and a Christian friend are her pluses in life.

After graduation from high school, Nicky delays nursing school as she is needed at home. Her mother demands her care as she suffers from health problems.

Then her sister returns to work leaving her two young daughters in Nicky's care. They bring her joy as she helps to raise them. Tragedy strikes and Nicky must step in once again to help the family.

Though Nicky has opportunities for romance, life's events supersede her own desires, and she learns to set aside her disappointments as she puts her faith in God, accepting the circumstances of her life.

Will she eventually find time for herself? Will a man enter her life to fulfill her own desire for a family?

About the Author

My deepest roots are here in Pennsylvania, though I was born in New York State and lived in New Jersey and Connecticut for the first twenty years of my life. The beauty of Pennsylvania and the variation in the seasons and topography have gotten into my soul, and I hope to spend the rest of my life here.

Married over forty years to a very special man who loves me just the way I am, I’m also the mother of five adult children and grandmother to eight amazing kids.

I believe in Jesus Christ and pray for direction in my writing. Not all has been roses in my life. I had a divorce many years ago and know the pain of rejection. I've had illnesses, watched my children suffer, lost my parents, and known failure. Perhaps, for all these reasons, I feel a need to share through my writings. Perhaps a thought, a chapter, even a sentence might help a fellow human in some small way.
