About the Author

Kareline van der Burg was born in Holland and studied graphic design at the Academia Minerva in Groningen, and later studied painting at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She worked in London in marketing and advertising for several years and then returned to Amsterdam to study jewelry design at the Zadkine Academy in Amsterdam. Since 1995 she has worked as an independent artist and has had expositions throughout the Netherlands and will soon have one in Los Angeles. She lives with her husband and two children in Vassen, Netherlands, just outside of Amsterdam.
