Aamna is a curious 5th grader, who reads up on climate change and how everyone's daily choices are affecting the Earth. When she realizes that her school is not recycling, she becomes determined to help bring that change. She makes the bold decision to run for school President. With the support of her family and friends she learns bringing change, whether it be big or little, can be accomplished through action and kindness!

About the Author

Amra Sayed has been working with children as a Speech & Language Pathologist in the education field for over a decade. Her career has always focused on nurturing the development of children's social and language skills. She learned early on that books play a powerful role in the development of these skills. So it was only natural she chose to write her own children's book and realized now more than ever there is a need for books that portray a diverse group of children.
