The objectives are quite worthy, since stroke is among the leading causes of death and disability, multiple randomized clinical trials recently proved that neuroendovascular techniques improve functional outcomes, and the treatment of stroke patients is now localized to primary and comprehensive stroke centers with interdisciplinary teams. In other words, acute ischemic stroke is a debilitating disease for which we now have an elixir. This book exceeds its stated objectives by providing up-to-date information relevant to each member of the interdisciplinary team.
