Overview

Adam Names the Insects (with a little help from Eve) is a whimsical telling of an old story. Adam is asked to
name the insects and, of course, he is most willing to do so. With careful guidance from Eve who is armed
with a notebook and crayon so that she can record his insight, Adam proceeds to name the fly, because that
is what that particular insect does. It flies. Only he wants to name it a nose, ear fly because that is where
it lands. Eve only has so much room in her notebook to write and she can't erase a crayon anyway, so
the insect becomes a fly out of necessity.

And so the story goes with insightful comments about each insect. The author takes the reader through
a child-like excursion in the Garden of Eden in which Adam inspects the various insects and pronounces
each name. He uses the sense of smell to name the stink bug, and the sense of sound to name the Bzzz.
But he doesn't taste any of the insects, so there are no insects named "Delicious" or "Yukk." Prepare
yourself to enjoy the journey.
