About the Author

Suzanne Marshall traces her development as a quilter to a library book and her collection of fabric scraps, gathered through many years of making clothes. Her first quilts were utilitarian, increasing in size with the growth of her children. Only in the mid-1980s did this self-taught quilter begin to design decorative quilts. She entered the first local contest in 1985 and her first national competition in 1988. Recognition came rapidly after that.
