About the Author

Patricia wrote and illustrated this book as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project. At the time of formal self-publishing, is studying Elementary Education at Appalachian State University. She is a lifetime Girl Scout and a lover of pollinators. She graduated high school from Pender Early College High School in 2022.
Margo Melton is a science teacher at Pender Early College High School. During the course of Patrcia's Gold Award project, she was Patricia's Gold Award advisor. She helped with editing the book and all other elements of the project.
Eileen Emer was Patricia's Gold Award Liason, supporting her in completing her project and helping in editing the book.
Abby Palmer Groves is a Program Director for Girl Scout North Carolina Coastal Pines. At the time of completing the project and the self-publishing of this book, she is one of the council staff responsible for supporting Gold Award projects. She supported the editing of the Gold Award page in this book.
