Overview

THE AGE OF WAR: THE STORY OF ASBJORN centers around the Father of Kings, the First Mc'Aoidh, and the legendary ancestor of Brian: Asbjorn of Vahlavus. The story is set centuries before the Nahvorian Civil War, where a war amongst five nations divided the land. As king of one of these nations, Asbjorn made it his duty to achieve unity by confronting the other four kings. His task would not be easy to accomplish, but with the help of his cousin Mhuir, Asbjorn rose above treachery, heartbreak, and his own rage in order to succeed.

About the Author

Born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania (a suburb of Pittsburgh) in 1997, Noah Matthew MacKay was raised in eastern North Carolina since 2000. In 2005 he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of eight.

MacKay started a hobby of writing fiction novels in 2013 (at the age of fifteen), and keeps up with it ever since. As a novelist, MacKay wrote five books from his fantasy series titled Age of War between 2016 and 2020. Since 2015, Noah MacKay also writes poetry in the German language. His noteworthy poetry publications are in the following collections: Fünf (Five) in 2019; a "best-of" collection and autobiographical account Einfach ich (Simply Me), and the latest collection Monster (Monster); both in 2020.

In addition to writing novels and poetry, MacKay wrote four volumes of the mathematical physics series The Theory of Physics in 2020, each volume discusses respectively on classical mechanics, electromagnetism, select topics of modern physics and quantum mechanics. In 2021, MacKay wrote Quantum Particles of Gravity: a layman’s course in gravity theory from the ancient philosophies to the hypothesis of gravitons; along with its directly translated German version: Quantenteilchen der Schwerkraft.

In 2020, Noah M. MacKay graduated magnum cum laude from East Carolina University. He acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, along with a Bachelor of Arts in German language and literature. As an undergraduate, he co-founded the university's first official astronomy club, became a member of the Sigma Pi Sigma and Delta Phi Alpha honor societies, and co-authored a published article on Weimar Republic-era poet and satirist Erich Mühsam.

MacKay is currently studying physics at East Carolina University for a Master of Science. While preparing for his thesis work, he is working on research in non-equilibrium noise theory. In the future he plans to obtain a doctorate and become a published theoretical physicist.
